“I am convinced that today we need to work through the issue of the possibility of creating a kind of “Crimean Silicon Valley”, which would house modern enterprises in the field of communications and microelectronics, as well as a Crimean technology park,” Akseov writes in his article, which he published today “ Russian newspaper".
“The development of innovative technologies on the peninsula should take into account the experience and achievements in various sectors of the Crimean economy that existed during the Soviet period,” says Aksenov. “We can recall the production of Foton televisions, shipbuilding and ship repair plants, large enterprises in the canning industry, agro-industrial enterprises of intensive horticulture and greenhouse complexes, the unique production of essential oil crops, and so on. Modern industrial and agricultural technologies must be based on the latest achievements of scientific thought.”
In this regard, Sergei Aksenov proposed that Moscow “consider the issue of creating a Crimean branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Simferopol.”
