Rats are preparing for a mass escape from Poroshenko's ship
Companions of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko admit that political turbulence in the country will intensify, writes Kommersant.

“This is an extremely unpleasant moment for the president. One gets the impression that everyone who could have united against him. And traditional opponents, and former allies, and even part of the Western elites. This is an alarming trend, but I hope we will overcome it,” one of the Verkhovna Rada deputies representing the presidential party told the publication.
At the same time, even Poroshenko’s associates are not confident that in the next elections, which will be held next year, he will be able to get into the second round.
“There is already turbulence in the country. And the closer the elections are, the more it will intensify. And the rats will flee from the presidential ship. Some are already preparing to escape,” admitted an interlocutor in the Ukrainian presidential administration.
“Even in Poroshenko’s circle, many believe that he will lose the elections. And they are actively preparing escape routes for themselves,” said a source in one of the opposition parliamentary factions.
In turn, Kiev political scientist Vadim Karasev says that for Poroshenko “the time for a blind defense is coming,” although he believes that “this defense will turn out to be much stronger than many people hope today.”
