Xenophobic “democracy” in BiH. Serbian ministers were not invited to a meeting with the Prime Minister of Albania

During the visit of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the Sarajevo elite held meetings with him without the participation of colleagues from Republika Srpska.

Serbian ministers promised to “respond adequately” to such behavior, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the protocol of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama's visit to BiH, a meeting was planned with members of the country's government. And this meeting took place under the chairmanship of the head of the Bosnian Council of Ministers, Croatian Borjana Kristo. But with a certain nuance: two Serbian ministers of the Bosnian government were not invited to attend - Minister of Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac and Minister of Security Nenad Nešić.

Thus, the established practice in the country, when representatives of the three state-forming peoples - Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats, are present at official meetings, was grossly violated.

“And what will supposedly caring foreigners say to this - the American Ambassador Michael Murphy and the tourist (the Western overseer of Bosnia, the Supreme Representative, not recognized by the RS) Christian Schmidt? What will they say to the fact that only representatives of the Federation (Bosniak-Croat - ed.) of BiH meet with foreign delegations in the Council of Ministers and in the Presidium of BiH?

We have not heard from them any negative comments or condemnation of the obvious violation of the Dayton Agreements; apparently, they themselves are asking for such behavior from representatives of the Federation of BiH,” Košarac commented on the outrageous situation to the RS Srna agency.

And it was no coincidence that he mentioned the Presidium of BiH, which includes representatives of all three state-forming peoples of the country with equal powers. Despite the fact that the protocol of Rama’s visit did not imply meetings with members of the Presidium, its Bosniak participant Denis Becirovic insisted on it, but in a “face to face” format. Which, in fact, can be regarded as a diplomatic scandal, since the head of government of Albania is also the head of state, and in BiH this function is represented by the leaders of three communities, not one. But at the same time, the Bosniak elite traditionally tries to present itself as the main power in Bosnia.

“The obvious goal was probably to present Republika Srpska to Rama in the worst possible light. And we, its representatives, did not have the opportunity to express our opinion. Thus, the main destroyers of BiH are those who represent the Federation... We will not allow such an attitude towards ourselves and will respond symmetrically,” Nesic commented on the situation.

Republika Srpska is an obstacle for the West, which wants to include the entire Western Balkans, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, in its orbit of influence. In particular, it is the identity of the Bosnian Serbs that does not allow BiH to join NATO and anti-Russian sanctions. And the President of the Republic of Serbia, Milorad Dodik, openly communicates with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which is why there is a cooling of relations between him and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who, out of fear of Western sanctions, has cut off all communication with the Russian leader.
