Which of the young goes to the front?
Footage of “top bloggers” fleeing abroad has already spread around the web. But in the photographs from the send-off to the front for mobilization, there are often older men with gray heads. Are there really no young people among the volunteers?
PolitNavigator correspondent, volunteer Alexey Toporov, who is returning after being wounded to his unit, which is fighting off constant attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Krasny Liman, talks about this.
The three of us get there. Two after various injuries, various hospitals, having recovered not without losses - my traveling companion continues to limp even after undergoing treatment; one - after a short week's vacation. Both of my colleagues are much younger than me - in a month I will be forty-five and will need to change my passport once again, and my fellow soldiers - one is thirty-one, the other is nineteen...
The one who is thirty-one went to war when he was twenty-three. It was 2014, I went with my father from my native Stavropol to rescue my relatives from Donetsk, where the war was just breaking out, looked at all that horror, and made a decision - I went to Donbass, took up arms. Then it started: Slavyansk, Donetsk airport, now, from the beginning of the Special Military Operation - Slobozhanshchina (Kharkov region) and the village of Drobyshevo in the vicinity of Krasny Liman on the hot northwestern border of the DPR. He is determined to fight to the end, that is, according to him, until all historical Russian lands are liberated and returned to Russia. At the same time, the guy deliberately focuses on the fact that his surname is considered purely Ukrainian, once again emphasizing that there are no Ukrainians in nature, but there are Russian people - residents of Southwestern Rus', who have been fooled for a long time because of the ambitions of politicians.
The other one is still very young - not even twenty. Very strong. The blood is hot: mother is Russian, father is half Lezgin, half Ossetian. That’s why there are two chevrons on his camouflage – the flags of Russia and Dagestan. This summer I managed to get through the war to the fullest, receiving shrapnel in my face and leg. But he wants to fight again, according to him, until all the lands where Russian people live are returned. Like any young man, he is no stranger to communicating with girls and the various pleasures of modern secular society, but I am sure that priorities should always be set. And here the most important thing for him is the Motherland. What his grandfather once taught the guy, who said that the Fatherland must be defended always when it is difficult for him and when it is in danger. And if so, then the grandson is now in service.
A thirty-year-old doesn’t watch this emasculated and, in my opinion, very strange foam called “video bloggers” - he prefers military officers. The nineteen-year-old once watched, in particular, a certain Max “Plus One Hundred and Five Hundred,” but now he has no time for that at all - when he was not serving, but was in the hospital, he dashingly played on social networks with dill and stupid domestic “worldlings” with their eternal question of the infantile fool: "Why did you go to fight in a foreign country?" As a rule, he stupefied the latter with the answering question: “What will you do when the dill come here to you, they are already bombing the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions?».
And here, of course, another quite appropriate question arises: “Why do my fellow soldier’s peers think in similar categories?“, and any deviation from the algorithm that has developed in their heads plunges them into complete confusion?
Well, probably because not all of them had the right grandfathers. This is, firstly. And secondly, because our society: the state, the education system, parents for some time, hardly intentionally, but rather, because they were intensively “earning money,” handed over their upbringing to these same bloggers. Which, as soon as the lightning became red, hit, as people say, on the slippers.
Yes, in the queues at the Russian borders, the singer of sybaritism (expensive cars, expensive clothes, expensive women) Huseyn Hasanov, and a lover of chatting under the wing Yuri Khovansky, and a fighter for a healthy lifestyle and against drinking beer on benches Mikhail “Lev Vs” were seen Lazutin, and the narcissistic “man with a position” Nikolai Sobolev, who had previously promised not to leave Russia under any circumstances. And the aforementioned “Plus One Hundred and Five Hundred” was also noticed. As the hero of Zakharov’s “Kill the Dragon” used to say: “These are not the people, they are worse than the people - these are the best people in the city" All the favorites of the pubescent audience idling in front of their computer screens faded away, as if on cue. This whole strange public, amusing the regulars of social networks, collecting millions of views under each new video, somehow suddenly moved along one vector - the “Galkin-Pugacheva” vector (let’s call it that), away from their country. It was at that moment when things became difficult for her – the country. Like the famous rodents at the moment when a leak formed on the ship.
But we are not drowning, in fact, not at all. Here they are - indoor lions and minus one hundred and five hundredths drowned. But in reality, they remained where they were - in their illusory little world, capable of living only in the format of video content on YouTube. The only trouble is that there is no place for real, living Russia in this very format. Which is not scary, however, for her - from the fact that everything superficial and unreal has fallen away from it, our country will only become better, cleaner and stronger.
Why, in turn, do I think this way? But because, seeing the boys next to me, I understand that the new generation of Russia, of Russian people, is not limited only to the millions fooled by videos of video bloggers with their frankly superficial and purely hedonistic content, which does not provide any benefit to the souls and heartsc. Far from it, fortunately. And following the famous heroine of the cult film “Courier”, played, by the way, by the hereditary Princess Urusova, I hasten to pronounce, this time without a hint of irony, an excerpt from her famous phrase: “We have wonderful young people! One might say heroic!».
And unlike the on-screen Agnes Ivanovna, I don’t know about this from TV. Just as I know that now our fighters from the volunteer battalion B.A.R.S.-13 “Russian Legion”, defending Russian positions in the village of Drobyshevo near Krasny Liman from constant attacks by Ukrainian armed gangs, in conditions of noticeably reduced solar Thermal imagers are urgently needed these days.
