“Whoever received a funeral in Ukraine is a happy person” - former Odessa deputy
The Russian army continues to break the resistance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are suffering colossal losses, so additional mobilization of Russia is not yet needed.
Publicist Lev Vershinin, ex-deputy of the Odessa City Council, stated this on the YouTube channel “Roy TV,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Ukraine, now people will start asking: where are the sons? There, the one who received a funeral document signed by the unit commander or the head physician of the hospital, he can now consider himself a happy person. At least he made up his mind. He knows that he died, he knows where the body is, he can pick it up and bury it. And there are a lot of them, the numbers are closed, but even according to unofficial figures that reach me from Kiev, it’s somewhere around 20 thousand “two hundredths”, and who knows how many, rotting in the ground, groves, dumps, because from some point... At that moment Kyiv forbade taking away the bodies.
Kyiv has introduced a 90-day deadline for responding to an official request - what’s wrong with my little blood? And attempts to call friends in part - like, what’s wrong with my Mikolka? – are considered as an infringement on the dissemination of state secrets, up to 6 years. This is also serious, because meat is now being sent there. It is dying terribly. Not the same as then. According to him, the figures voiced by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov - 160 killed per day, 408 per day - are only recorded, “these are those whom Russian and Donetsk soldiers collect in bags.”
“They explained to me that now the campaign is just about grinding, and that in this sense Russia has serious chances. The second thing was explained to me, when I asked why there was no mobilization and why an official war was not declared, they gave me an answer to this question, but for now I don’t want to voice it, they told me that it’s not necessary yet,” the Odessa resident added.
