Who are you on Good Friday - the United States imposed sanctions against Russian businessmen and security officials
The United States Treasury Department has expanded sanctions against Russia, including in the list the “captains” of Russian business, heads of banks, state corporations, heads of law enforcement agencies and Duma politicians, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in a press release published by the department’s press service, RT reports.
It is noted that the sanctions list includes businessman Oleg Deripaska, senator Suleiman Kerimov, director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies Mikhail Fradkov, chairman of the VTB board Andrei Kostin and president of the Zenit football club Sergei Fursenko.
Also subject to American sanctions were the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller and the chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev.
Sanctions were imposed against Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev and Director of the Russian Guard Viktor Zolotov.
In total - seven Russian businessmen, seventeen Russian officials, as well as twelve companies, including Rosoboronexport.
