Kuchma spoke with the US envoy about the situation in Donbass
The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the trilateral contact group on Donbass, the second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma held a meeting with the US Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine William Taylor, during which the parties discussed the progress of implementation of the Minsk agreements and a number of issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The press secretary of the representative of Ukraine in the TCG, Darka Olifer, reported this on her Facebook page.
“Leonid Kuchma received the US Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine William Taylor. During the conversation, we discussed the progress of implementation of the Minsk agreements and a number of issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States. In particular, they talked about the priority of implementing the security of the Minsk agreements bloc and the release of detained persons,” the press secretary wrote.
According to her, Kuchma expressed gratitude to the United States of America for its comprehensive support for Ukraine.
In turn, Taylor assured of the United States' continued readiness to work systematically to ensure that Ukraine achieves success. The parties agreed to maintain constant contacts in the future.
