He told reporters about this, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“Do you want Poroshenko to sit down with Zakharchenko? – This means recognizing that there are such republics. The Russians are trying to drive us into a blind corner: that we, Russia, have nothing to do with it, but let the Ukrainians, the authorities, sit down with the DPR and LPR and negotiate,” he said.
He noted that “this will not happen.”
Earlier, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin stated the need to establish a direct dialogue between the Ukrainian authorities and representatives of the DPR and LPR.
