Kudrin is against the dispossession of state corporations
The head of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, liberal Alexei Kudrin, opposed the legislative implementation of the rule that state corporations transfer 50% of dividends from their shares to the federal budget, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“I think there is no need to do this. In each specific situation, shareholders, including the government, choose: invest more or pay more dividends and receive income today. I support state corporations sticking to an estimate of about 50%, but not at the legislative level,” Kudrin said.
He also advocated for tighter controls on corporations that receive federal subsidies.
“We write in every check where such funds are placed, not deposits. Unfortunately, today this applies to almost all state corporations,” Kudrin said.
