Kuleba is pleased with the supply of weapons: HIMARS, howitzers, tanks - everything is coming and there will be even more
The supply of Western weapons to Ukraine is ongoing, and subsequently it will be even greater.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this in an interview with Forbes.
“Procurement of weapons is a very delicate process. Let me just say: HIMARS, other MLRS from other countries, howitzers, tanks - everything is coming and there will be even more. It's just a matter of time. Our task is to speed up processes: from making political decisions to solving logistics problems,” Kuleba said.
When asked whether the rate of supply of heavy weapons will increase, Kuleba replied:
“In fact, supplies from different countries through different channels are quite stable, but quantitatively unsatisfactory. I won’t talk about specifics, because I will expose our supplies to attack.”
According to him, the main problem with delivery is the schedule.
“For example, my recent conversations with colleagues from countries that supply weapons. I voice what is needed once, and then several times under different sauces, at different moments, so that the signal strikes and registers, I say: “This needs to be done by such and such a date.” Then we talked about something else. I say again: “By the way, I want to make it clear once again: what I told you is needed by such and such a date,” Kuleba complains.
The minister noted that three or four times per conversation he penetrates the consciousness of his Western counterparts, because this is the main problem.
“If we had received more 155-caliber artillery and more multiple launch rocket systems in time, then Lisichansk and Severodonetsk would have remained under the control of Ukraine. But everything takes time - this is how the system unfolds,” Kuleba said.
Earlier, the Swedish government decided to provide additional military support to Ukraine. The support consists of equipment requested by Ukraine, such as anti-tank weapons, auxiliary weapons and mine clearance equipment. The total cost of military assistance is approximately SEK 500 million.
