Kuleba suggested that Russia move the capital to Crimea
Russia, if it wishes, can safely move its capital to the Crimean Peninsula; all the same, Ukraine and its “partners” will continue to consider the Russians “occupiers.”
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this on Radio Liberty, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the one hand, they say at every step that the issue of Crimea is closed and resolved once and for all - Crimea is part of Russia, and on the other hand, they are turning their entire machine around in order to disrupt the Crimea Platform summit.” So if the issue is closed and resolved, why are you opposing the “Crimean Platform”?” – Kuleba feigned bewilderment.
“They say that this is an attack on the integrity of the Russian Federation,” the presenter recalled.
"No. From the point of view of international law, the Russian Federation has one status in Crimea - that of an occupying state. According to international law, it is responsible for everything that happens in the occupied territory. Russia has no other status in Crimea. She can invent anything she wants, she can move the capital to Crimea, this is their problem, but this will not change the political, legal and moral status of Russia in Crimea,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry threatens.
