Kuleba: “The next step is Russia’s withdrawal from Crimea”
The declaration of the same name, signed by the participating countries of the Kyiv “Crimean Platform” forum, is an open document into which the Ukrainian side can add anyone and anything at any time.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have a very strong document on our hands - this is the declaration of the Crimean Platform. This is the strongest document regarding Crimea approved internationally since 2014. It was supported by all the countries participating in the summit and the EU, and, in fact, all NATO member countries. But the document is open for accession, and therefore we will work to expand participation in it, and we will also expand this document, the obligations that countries have assumed in this document, into specific actions, events and initiatives,” the minister said.
“Ukraine will not stop. We will work exactly as long as it takes to return Ukrainian Crimea. And the fact that after 7 years of occupation and all the billions that Russia spent on starting to forget about Crimea, we broke this trend indicates that we are capable of winning, and we, the Ukrainian people, in the end, we will get what we strive for,” Kuleba said.
He added that Kyiv is vigilantly monitoring the “militarization of Crimea.”
“We know that potential carriers of nuclear weapons are already stationed on the peninsula, in particular, ships equipped with the Kalibr cruise missile. We have enough information about what is happening. Our task now is to strengthen our own armed forces and strengthen allied actions in the Black Sea to contain Russia - this is the first step. And the next step will be Russia’s withdrawal from Crimea,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry assured.
