Kuleba assures that Ukrainians are fascinated by the anti-Russian policy of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry
The actions of Ukrainian diplomacy allegedly correspond to the expectations of Ukrainian society.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba at the presentation of a sociological survey regarding the expectations of Ukrainian society from the foreign policy of Ukraine, conducted by the Info Sapiens news agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kuleba assures that 30 percent support by Ukrainians for the “little promoted” project “Crimean Platform” is a “good result.”
Let us note that the project has been advertised for almost three months already among all Ukrainian “propaganda irons”. In addition, when responding positively to the creation of the “Crimean Platform,” the Ukrainians could have in mind its primarily diplomatic rather than military nature.
“For a very long time we lived in the myth: “let’s make some concessions, and then everything will be fine.” The majority of society rejects the idea that Russia will stop its aggressive policies if Ukraine abandons the idea of joining the EU and NATO.
This is very important - it strengthens our negotiating position when it comes to countering Russian aggression.
In 2021, we will move in the directions that society expects from us. There will be a topic of countering Russian aggression on all fronts. This will be the year the “Crimean Platform” is launched.
I am very glad that with this we met the expectations of society - about 30% positively assessed the creation of the “Crimean Platform”. For a topic that is little promoted, this is a good result. We have hit a painful point in Ukrainian society. The public believes that the state is doing little to de-occupy Crimea.
We know where we are leading the country, we are leading it to the West, back to the European legal and political space. We are creating new networks that connect Ukraine more closely with everything west of our border. This year we created the Lublin Triangle, I spoke with Lithuanian colleagues, everyone confirmed that this is an important project and we will develop it.
Next year there will be another big intrigue - relations with the United States. I am confident that as a result of this cooperation we will become even stronger. Our partnership with the United States will deepen,” Dmitry Kuleba.
