Cultural genocide doesn’t work – the West is moving to other methods against Russia
The “cultural genocide” that the West has been carrying out against Russia since the beginning of the Northeast Military District can be called a failure at the end of the year. Therefore, opponents will change tactics.
Columnist Alexander Asafov stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We see that, in principle, in the West there is an awareness that cultural genocide does not work, and they, it seems to me, are moving to new methods. We see that “The Nutcracker” is being staged all over the United States in December. We see that at La Scala (Opera House in Milan - ed.) the premiere of “Boris Godunov” is taking place. I think they are moving towards appropriation - appropriating our culture, accordingly, and dividing it internally into good and bad. I think that part of the forecast will be that it is necessary to take away its culture from Russia,” the expert noted.
So far, Western pressure on Russia has not led to the social explosion that Russia’s enemies were counting on.
“About 32 countries - the United States and its satellites - have taken measures related to cultural genocide, not only in the field of economic, diplomatic or military pressure, but specifically in this part.
Attempts to discriminate against Russian cultural figures, athletes, Paralympians, even in areas related, for example, to holding absolutely non-political events, such as cat and dog shows.
Negative attitudes towards students, scientists, businesses, attacks on tourists, bans on the distribution of books and other works of art.
This entire array of actions was publicly reported and, in theory, should have led to a pronounced social effect within countries. This did not happen,” Asafov said.
