Former Minister of Culture, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the BPP Oksana Bilozir criticized Russia’s decision to send singer Yulia Samoilova to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, who has been using a wheelchair since she was 13 years old.

“If they are trying to send such monstrosity from Russia to Ukraine, then please excuse me, we cannot categorically take any positions,” Bilozir said on TV channel 112.
Having allowed herself such a statement, she added: “It seems to me that we, Ukraine, are a civilized democratic country, and we are spiritually rich and strong, so we will not politicize art.”
As PolitNavigator reported, in Ukraine they are threatened with arrest Eurovision participant from the Russian Federation for visiting Crimea.
