Kumin: Liberals are defeated, communists must take revenge in Moscow
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation must take revenge in the elections in Moscow and become the main opposition force in conditions where the liberals are defeated or mired in internal squabbles. Left-wing candidate for Moscow mayor Vadim Kumin stated this on the Red Line TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kumin said that there were disputes among the communists about the need to participate in the mayoral elections in conditions when the authorities would use administrative resources.
“When the Moscow City Committee discussed my candidacy, there was a point of view that there was no need to participate in these staged elections, because we would not assemble a municipal filter, that we should refuse to participate. But the party decided that it was necessary to participate, because experience has shown that if we do not participate, the “CPSU” - “Cossack Party of Social Justice” - appears immediately - a fake structure that suddenly overcomes the municipal filter. Well, or the notorious “Communists of Russia”.
That is, we get a situation where we ourselves create a reason for someone to take our position. This cannot be done - we must be responsible for the interests of the residents of the regions where we operate.
We already suffered a fairly significant defeat in the municipal elections last year, in fact we lost the entire situation to the liberals, and this requires a very serious summing up.
And now we are obliged to take revenge, when the liberal camp is completely crushed, fragmented, they could not nominate anyone at all, they quarreled among themselves, as always. We contrast this with unity of position,” Kumin said.
