According to him, today, with a regular army, 1/5 of Ukraine’s budget goes to war.
“A contract army is a very expensive pleasure. We already spend every fifth hryvnia on war; about 100 billion of our 600 billion budget goes to military needs. And in order to maintain a contract army, you need to pay a good salary,” Kunitsyn said.
