Kunitsyn: Ukraine will force Putin to humiliate himself and ask for water for Crimea
Ukraine must force the Russian president to humiliate himself and ask for the restoration of water supplies to Crimea. This is the “wild card” for which you can lure out Russian fuel for nuclear power plants, concessions on Donbass and billions of dollars in investments.
The former Prime Minister of Crimea, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, and now adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Sergei Kunitsyn stated this on the air of the talk show “Freedom of Speech of Savik Shuster,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“By the way, they did not nationalize the North Crimean Canal; it belongs to Ukraine. And three years ago, messengers came to me from there and said: “We are ready to invest two billion to restore the canal, and after Afghanistan I built it as the chief engineer of a reinforced concrete plant, I know what it is like, 430 kilometers of the main network and 10 thousand kilometers (of branches) .
There is no water in Crimea; there is nowhere to get it from by any means. They cut off electricity from Kuban, gas from Chernomorneftegaz and supplied it from Kuban. They won't make water.
I, as a Crimean, I want my native Crimea to return, they didn’t let me bury my mother because I dill, three years ago. How can I relate to these people? But I know that Crimea is dying, it is turning into a desert...
It’s impossible not to see all this - if we want to return Crimea, then we want to return the destroyed desert, which then requires tens of billions? They offered: “We will rent from you, we will repair, restore all the pumping stations, we will buy at world prices and give away half of the profits, and what other issues do you want to discuss - fuel rods, Donbass” and so on. Isn't this a joker? The most important thing is that we must force Putin, Ukraine: “Ask for water.” It's humiliating for him“- said Kunitsyn.
