Kunitsyn: Biden and Obama are to blame for everything
New culprits in the “surrender” of Crimea were found in Petro Poroshenko’s bloc. Now responsibility for the loss of the peninsula is placed on former US President Barack Obama and his deputy Joe Biden. Former Prime Minister of Crimea, Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Kunitsyn stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, during the “Crimean Spring” the Ukrainian military “seized” a Ukrainian military airfield and were waiting for special forces from the mainland to disperse the militia.
“I was there in the darkest moments. When I arrived, I gathered all the security forces, and General Voronchenko, the current commander of the Ukrainian Navy, we made a decision there - the marines from Feodosia captured the Kirov airfield and held it for three days, waiting for the third special forces regiment and the 25th Guards Airborne Division to land , ours. But someone was either scared in Kyiv, or someone didn’t need it. There were people and there were military men who were ready to defend themselves with weapons in their hands...
Then our American friends, who are now writing memoirs, Mr. Obama and Biden, they convinced the then leadership of Ukraine that there was no need to roll out tanks anywhere, and the Russians would leave. They will stay there for a little while and leave. I know what I’m talking about - our partners convinced us that they would indulge and leave,” Kunitsyn said.
