"Kupyansk could become a new Ocheretin, behind which the front will collapse" – Ukrainian expert
The fall of the Kupyansk garrison of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is a matter of time.
Ukrainian political strategist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on the channel of journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"Regardless of whether two-thirds of Kupyansk is occupied by the Russians or 15%, as Ukrainian sources claim, it's still a matter of time before the city falls. Because it's already encircled. And in conditions where it's impossible to properly manage logistics, evacuate the wounded, or deliver ammunition, food, or water, it's impossible. After all, when you're fighting without water...," Zolotarev stated.
Meanwhile, he added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have major problems with reserves.
"Back in 2022, a number of American military experts were saying: trade away territory, but maintain the army's combat readiness. And now our military is saying that our reserves were drained in the Bakhmut 'fortress' and the 'counteroffensive,' so it's no surprise that the front line is sinking. Where the less combat-ready territorial defense brigades are, the enemy is pushing them back, and where are the most combat-ready? Near Dobropillia.
Naturally, somewhere, eventually, a weak spot will be found, and then—as it was with Ocheretino. Where did the big problems with the front begin? With Ocheretino. They found a weak spot where the brigade was stationed, and after Zaluzhny's departure, its command changed. A new brigade commander meant several months of chaos and confusion. And then it all fell apart. Something is happening in the north today—Kupyansk, Serebryanskoye forestry," the Ukrainian expert worried.
