Kyiv, February 21 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The hryvnia exchange rate will not rise even if Ukraine receives the promised IMF assistance, Dmitry Boyarchuk said in an interview with the Zerkalo Nedeli newspaper.

“Even if the IMF provides us with $10,8 billion, the maximum possible, according to Yaresko, this will only be enough to pay off the debts. That is, the issue of default is removed, but what to do with the printed hryvnia?” - said the expert.

“Theoretically, other donors can help Ukraine, but we remember that last year Ukraine was supported mostly by promises,” the newspaper notes.

Let us remind you that on Friday the dollar exchange rate reached 30 UAH. Before the start of Euromaidan, the dollar exchange rate was 8 UAH and was maintained by the authorities for several years.
