“We are seeking payment of pensions and wages,” a man in a wheelchair who came from Kramatorsk told a Navigator correspondent. “I haven’t been paid my pension for two months.” There is no light, no water, not even bread. Krasny Liman is also broken, the bakeries are standing.”

At the same time, the head of the parliamentary committee on pensioners, veterans and disabled people, Valery Sushkevich (himself a wheelchair user), emphasized that the Cabinet of Ministers will send pensions to Donbass later, when it becomes possible to “secure payments to people with disabilities.” True, when asked whether this means that the war will continue, he stated: “Did I say that the war will continue? We need to fight for peace so that there is no war.”

From time to time, disputes arose between disabled people and Maidan activists who were holding a nearby rally for the dissolution of the Rada.

“All problems are secondary after the war,” the Maidanists said. – If you want to return home, then write that the ATO needs to be strengthened. We must fight."

“Yes, we already live in a war,” answered the disabled.

Maidan activists were particularly outraged by the fact that the arrival of disabled people was organized by Natalia Korolevskaya, an ex-ally of Yulia Tymoshenko, who defected to Viktor Yanukovych’s camp several years ago.

As a result, the Maidan protesters attacked her, demanding to leave. With difficulty, the self-defense forces managed to restrain the aggressive crowd, which eventually followed Korolevskaya to Grushevskogo Street, periodically chanting: “Kurva! Russian agent."

She finally managed to get into a taxi on Grushevsky. When the car stopped at a nearby traffic light, the crowd gave chase. Only after driving into oncoming traffic, almost getting into an accident, did the taxi manage to break away from its pursuers.
