Kusturica: Russia ends the tragedy that Kyiv has been going on for eight years
The suffering of civilians in Donbass and Ukraine is caused by the actions of the United States.
The world famous Serbian director and musician Emir Kusturica stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In February of this year, Russia wanted to stop the tragedy that Kyiv has been going on for eight years. The West tells humanity about it, mixing causes and consequences. In fact, this is a war against the Russian-speaking population of Donbass, Lugansk and Crimea, who did not want to stay with Ukraine, which is hostile to it.
Moreover, the war against Donbass was not a Ukrainian decision, but an American one. Kyiv only obeyed, pulling most of its armed forces into Donbass,” the director told Izvestia.
He added that as a result, both in Donbass and Ukraine, civilians, women and children suffer.
“It was the actions of the United States that led to this, and not the introduction of Russian troops. It is interesting that when Serbia was bombed, our dead were called “collateral victims,” and about what was happening in Ukraine they said: “Poor civilians, poor children.” This is all a pre-prepared concept that began to be implemented not yesterday. It started with the coup in Ukraine, the Maidan, people burned in Odessa,” Kusturica is convinced.
