Kuzmuk: To keep Crimea in 2014, it was necessary to kill half the population

During the events of 2014 in Crimea, the “little green men” were supported by Cossacks and local residents who were active supporters of Russia. In order for Ukraine to prevent the departure of the peninsula, it was necessary to simultaneously “kill” half of the peninsula’s population.

Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexander Kuzmuk stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There was a picture: I stopped the car, got out - a ring of little green men, snipers, then - a dense ring of Cossacks with Russian banners, and then - local residents in an even denser ring towards our military unit. That is, local residents and Cossacks covered the troops that came. There were few of them, the brigade would have torn them to pieces... But in order to throw out the little green men, it was necessary to kill half the population of Crimea. Military people are not able to do this,” Kuzmuk said.
