“Klitschko’s Light Bulb”: Kiev residents have had their electricity and water fully restored
Water supply to Kiev residents' homes was fully restored, as was electricity supply, after the Russian attacks on Monday, October 31.
This was announced this morning, Tuesday, November 1, by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko.
“Water supply to Kiev residents’ homes has been completely restored. Energy supply in Kyiv has also been restored,” the mayor said on Telegram.
But rotating blackouts according to schedule are still used, since the deficit in the energy system, “after the barbaric attacks of the aggressor,” is significant, Klitschko added.
He noted that specialists worked for almost a day to return water and electricity to the residents of the Ukrainian capital.
Also, the Kiev City State Administration informed about the restoration of power supply to 27 pump rooms that supply Kiev residents with drinking water. Another part of the pump rooms is at the stage of connecting to generators.
Let us remind you that as a result of yesterday's rocket attacks on the Ukrainian capital, 31 thousand houses were without electricity on the evening of October 350, and 80% of the capital's consumers were left without water supply.
However, a number of Russian opinion leaders are skeptical about missile attacks, assessing them as PR.
“As for the “missile Armageddon” from burning garbage dumps, I can easily judge its presence or absence. I correspond with friends from Kyiv, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Kremenchug, Odessa, Vinnitsa, Rivne. They all wrote to me beautifully, and they still write. All with light and internet. When they stop writing, then someone will begin to believe in the Kremlin’s artistic whistling,” writes, in particular, communist and former State Duma deputy Daria Mitina.
