“We kindly ask, love your friends!” – Suslov read out the SBU temnik to the “Ukrainian” Russians
There are many people of Ukrainian origin living in Russia, including military personnel, and they would be interested in obtaining Ukrainian citizenship.
Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov stated this on the NASH channel, commenting on the issuance of Russian passports in Donbass, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want to note that, in general, it is a mistake when they think that Russians were not interested in Ukrainian passports, that Russia has a better level of development there. Russians are also interested in Ukrainian passports, after all, I think that the quarantine will end, and even these same Russians will be able to travel to the European Union with a Ukrainian passport.
A Russian passport does not provide such opportunities. The Ukrainian passport has its positive aspects, including for Russians, especially since - pay attention: here is a military parade, the commanders of crews and units are announced - half of them have Ukrainian surnames. They originate from Ukraine, so give them passports! There are a huge number of people in Russia who come from Ukraine. And they are interested in Ukrainian passports, if only for reasons of coming and visiting their relatives,” says Viktor Suslov.
