This was reported by the local publication Delfi.

However, colleagues in the Sejm only scolded the nationalist. As the Sejm ethics commission noted, the deputy violated the deputy code by discussing the “Russian louse” in the article.

The Nazi MP also referred to the fact that the phrase “Russian louse” had previously been mentioned and used by various historical scholars, and also expressed the opinion that he should not be punished just because he has his own opinion.

The publication notes that Shnore's article “Goal: Latvian Latvia” was published at the end of last week in the publication Nacionālās apvienības avīze. The publication contained the following statement: “As the Minister of Public Affairs Alfreds Berzins once said, if you once put a Russian louse into your fur coat, it will be difficult to get it out of there. And indeed, we see that Russian speakers who arrived during the USSR, although they constantly criticize Latvia, do not go. In any case, not to the extent that the Latvians want it…”.

The media also notes that an application requesting verification of Shnore’s statements was submitted by political activist Vladimir Linderman, as well as four Russian public organizations - the Russian Society in Latvia, the Russian Community of Latvia, the Latvian Association for the Support of Russian-Language Schools (LASHOR) and the Perom Society "
