Lavrov: NATO Secretary General can’t cope, it’s time for him to resign
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, I speak on the continued integration of Ukraine into the North Atlantic Alliance, contradicts many international documents and shows his inadequacy for his position.
About this in an interview "RT"said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“When Mr. Stoltenberg loudly and arrogantly declares that no one has the right to violate the principle of the Washington Treaty, according to which the doors are open to any potential graduate student who wants to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization - we are not participants in this structure, signatories of this treaty. But we are signatories of a broader, region-wide, Euro-Atlantic document, which contains the principle of the indivisibility of security,” Lavrov said.
In his opinion, it is time for Stoltenberg to resign.
“And if Mr. Stoltenberg believes that NATO members have the right to spit on this principle, which is enshrined in documents adopted at the highest level, then it’s really time for him to leave for another job. Because he can’t cope with his responsibilities,” the minister concluded.
