Lavrov: Crimea is Russia, but Novorossiya is not
Moscow - Kyiv, January 21 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The issue of Crimea is closed, the peninsula is Russian territory, and Moscow sees a “solution to the problem of the South-East” based on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this during a large press conference.

“This position remains in force,” he said, noting that Moscow continues to advocate reform of the Ukrainian Constitution, with the goal of adopting a new version of the Basic Law that will give greater independence to the regions and guarantee respect for the rights of all residents of the country.
Lavrov also noted that Moscow will use its influence on the militias to stop the offensive and begin the withdrawal of heavy weapons from the demarcation line.
At the same time, Lavrov noted that, from his point of view, Kyiv has no reason to worry about increasing the area of territory controlled by the militia, since all these lands are Ukrainian anyway.
