Lavrov could not hide his attitude towards “Ukrainian temporary workers”
There are no signs that the current leadership of Ukraine understands the need to normalize relations with Russia. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this today, speaking at the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

“I am very pessimistic about how the current Kiev leadership assesses the future of their state in the context of relations with Russia. The population, I think, looks at things much more realistically and understands that temporary workers are now trying to squeeze all the juice out of both their country and relations with the West,” Lavrov said.
According to him, the Kiev leadership is sabotaging the peace process, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It stubbornly refuses to establish a direct dialogue with Donetsk and Lugansk. We call on Western partners, taking into account the influence they have on the Ukrainian authorities, to use their resources to encourage Kiev to begin the speedy practical implementation of the Minsk “Package of Measures”, unanimously approved by the UN Security Council,” Lavrov said.
