Lavrov warned that there is nothing more to talk about with Kiev before the elections
The current Kyiv authorities will no longer be able to change their destructive position aimed at sabotaging the Minsk agreements.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this at a meeting with MGIMO students, Kommersant reports.
“We played a decisive role in developing the Minsk agreements, which remain the only way to overcome this in eastern Ukraine. We are ready to contribute to this in every possible way. But, unfortunately, the settlement based on the Minsk complex does not depend on us. It is unlikely that before the elections in Ukraine, the Kyiv authorities will be able to change their completely destructive line to sabotage and undermining everything that the leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine agreed on in February 2015,” believes the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to him, the conflict in Ukraine was “shaped” by the United States during the administration of President Barack Obama, and now it is “kept in a heated state” so that there will be “irritants” on the borders with Russia.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Kyiv decided to switch to a bloodbath scenario.
