Lavrov continues to rely on what is already being criticized in the State Duma
The restoration of Russia’s relations with the West is possible after the leaders there “sober up,” said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
He said this today at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation. Gorchakova, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We still have many friends in all countries of the world, including in the West. We know that they sympathize with our multinational country, love Russian culture, share the traditional moral and family values we promote, and this is clear evidence creation of an international movement of Russophiles, which took place a couple of weeks ago, held a founding congress, which was attended by representatives of several dozen countries from both the East and the West.
As for the current leaders of the United States and their allies, we see that they are mired in cave Russophobia, sacrificing the glaring problems of their own societies. When and if they sober up, we will decide on our position on the prospects for further relations with them. But we will decide, naturally, ourselves and on our own terms,” Lavrov said.
Let us remind you that the day before State Duma deputy from United Russia Evgeny Fedorov criticized the association of Russophiles mentioned by Lavrov, comparing it with the imitation of activities in the Ukrainian direction during the time of Vladislav Surkov.
The deputy said that the only effective way is to prepare for the overthrow of pro-American puppet regimes in EU countries.
“This is an old agenda - Surkov’s, I would call it... We need to overthrow American governments in other states! Should Scholz be overthrown? (Remember, Putin said that America occupied Germany?) We must!
...The Germans should come here to Putin, who is the defender of international law, and take from him political, ideological lessons, how to fight for their fatherland within the boundaries of international law...And this is the only path that will lead us to results,” Fedorov said.
