Lavrov: The EU has shown its insolvency in Donbass and Kosovo
The European Union turned out to be equally unable to guarantee the implementation of agreements on both Kosovo and Donbass.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this at a press conference today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“By decision of the UN General Assembly, the European Union was vested with the powers of mediator between Belgrade and Pristina. In 2013, a document was agreed on the creation of a community of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo, according to which the Serbs in the north of Kosovo were endowed with serious rights of autonomy in cultural, humanitarian, linguistic, and educational matters. And also regarding special ties with Serbia,” the minister recalled.
According to him, that document is very similar to the set of rights laid down for the LDPR in the Minsk package of measures.
“In both cases, the European Union had a hand in coordinating the documents. In both cases, the documents that were approved are not executed by one party. In the case of Kosovo - Pristina, and in the case of the Minsk agreements - the Kyiv regime. To all our exhortations that the European Union must achieve the fulfillment of what they have invested their strength, talent and diligence into, there has been zero reaction,” Lavrov said.
