Close and deepening foreign policy coordination remains an integral part of relations between Russia and Belarus.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this today at a joint press conference with his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The main result of cooperation between foreign economic departments over two decades: today Russia and Belarus are like-minded people on almost all the key problems of our time,” Lavrov said.

The Foreign Ministries of the two countries signed a program of joint actions until 2021 and agreed to promote common interests in the UN, OSCE, and other multilateral platforms.

According to Lavrov, the ambassadors of Russia and Belarus in all countries will cooperate and coordinate their actions.
