Lavrov: We have everything to respond to the encroachments of NATO and the EU
Moscow clearly sees how NATO is preparing Ukraine for aggressive actions against Donbass and Crimea, and will never allow the West to encroach on its national interests.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this at a briefing following negotiations with the current OSCE Chairman, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Lindh, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We will not turn a blind eye to the gross provocations that we see every day from NATO members, and more and more often from the EU. Including his attempts to play along with the militarists in Ukraine, to organize some kind of training, military missions for Ukrainians, to prepare the Ukrainian army for the very actions that it constantly threatens, declaring that it will take Donbass by force, not wanting to comply with the Minsk agreements, are encroaching on Russian Crimea,” the Russian minister warned.
“All this belligerent rhetoric and military preparations in Ukraine in no way meet with any principled assessment from the West. So we see what is happening, but we, I assure you, will never allow our legitimate national interests to be infringed in any way, we have everything to ensure this,” Lavrov said.
