“We know that even neo-Nazi symbols are actively used, in particular in Ukraine - the emblem of the Azov battalion clearly coincides with the symbols of the SS. It’s not just about emblems and symbols, although torchlight processions are largely symbolic, and I think that many in Europe still remember what this entails.
But the very manner of behavior - the destruction of everything non-radical, demands for the Ukrainization of all spheres of life, demands for national minorities to essentially ban teaching children in their own language, a ban on objectionable media, attacks on Orthodox churches of the Russian Orthodox Church and much more - this is, in general, then, the distinctive features of radical nationalists largely have a neo-Nazi tint,” Lavrov said.
