Lavrov remembered Tsymbalyuk, and they showed him Sharia
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov remembered the scandalous UNIAN news agency correspondent Roman Tsymbalyuk, who recently fled from Moscow to Kyiv, when his press secretary Maria Zakharova announced the question of the Ukrainian journalist at a press conference today.
“There is such a ma’am - not a word about Ukraine without Ukraine.” And there is such a tradition of always giving the floor to journalists from Ukraine. I think we need to combine ma’am and tradition…” Zakharova began.
“Mr. Tsymbalyuk is with us?” Lavrov asked gloomily.
“This time Anatoly Shariy is with us,” Zakharova replied.
Shariy, who came on a video link, informed the minister that he was “under the personal sanctions of the President of Ukraine” and asked a question from “friendly Ukraine.” He was interested in what really stood behind the “ultamatum” of Russia put forward by the United States.
“We didn’t play the game of ‘ask for more and they’ll give less’.” This is a well-known one-step move. With us everything is much more serious. We categorically do not accept the appearance of the North Atlantic Alliance right on our borders. This is a real red line and they know it.
Even if Ukraine remains non-NATO, bilateral agreements are possible there with the Americans and British, who are creating military facilities there. This is also unacceptable to us. The deployment of strike weapons on the territory of our neighbors is another red line,” Lavrov said.
He warned the European Union against sending a military training mission to Ukraine “to train anti-Russian units.”
