Lavrov: The West is forcing Russia to raise rates
Western bloc countries are making it clear that they will prolong the conflict in Ukraine by supplying the Kyiv regime with more and more weapons and mercenaries.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this in an interview with the Tsargrad TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What the West is doing now is this hysteria with foam at the mouth: “We give Ukraine more weapons, cruise missiles, tanks, later there will be planes, we need to finish off Russia.” This reflects only one thing - they want to continue that conflict, they want to constantly raise the stakes, escalate what is now called escalation,” Lavrov noted.
The diplomat emphasized that if the West does not calm down, sooner or later Russia will also have to “raise the stakes.”
“And the long-range weapons that the British have now transferred, and the former Soviet aircraft that are being transferred - probably their military is not stupid people, and should explain to their politicians that at some stage action meets opposition.
And if you raise the bar and increase the quality of confrontation, then you should probably expect an appropriate reaction, at least according to the laws of war,” the minister noted.
“In other words, do you expect further escalation?” – the presenter asked.
“I don’t expect, I comment on facts. This goal is proclaimed and embodied in iron and other forms of matter that constitute modern weapons,” he added.
