Lavrov is criticized for mentioning negotiations with Bandera’s Ukraine
Russia intends to complete the SVO on the battlefield.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is necessary to end this only if we observe the end of the persistent and stubborn line of the West, led by the United States, to never end all this - until they consider that any threats to their hegemony have been eliminated. At this stage, we are acting in the same way as our Western colleagues promised: There must be victory on the battlefield,” Lavrov said.
He emphasized that the thesis that Russia is refusing negotiations on Ukraine is a lie, and ridiculed the lack of independence of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
“This is their formula, they refused negotiations, forced the Kiev regime to leave the negotiation process, and at the very moment when in March there was an opportunity to end it politically.
Kyiv was not allowed, and since then no one has even tried to convince the Kiev regime of the need to negotiate, no one objected when Zelensky by his decree prohibited negotiations with the Russian Federation, no one pulled him back when he repeatedly, being in an elated state, stated, that he doesn’t understand who in Russia he should talk to.
Apparently this is according to Freud. He feels like an independent figure.
We all want this to end, but what is important here is not the time factor, but the quality factor of the results that we will provide for our people,” Lavrov said.
Publicist and diplomat Mikhail Demurin is outraged that Lavrov even mentioned the negotiations.
“What negotiations is Lavrov talking about? What could have been agreed upon with Kiev in March last year? With whom and what is it worth negotiating today, especially if, as our Minister of Foreign Affairs states, what is really important is not the time factor, but the substantive facts, the factor of “quality of results”?” – Demurin wrote in his TG channel.
Radio host Sergei Mardan agrees with him.
“What kind of negotiations is Sergei Viktorovich talking about? Is there something we don't know? Probably, Ukraine has already agreed to complete “demilitarization and denafification”; all that remains is to agree on the conditions for Zelensky’s honorable surrender,” Mardan points out.
“We would like to remind you that throughout the fall of last year, the world media, as well as Ukrainian and Belarusian (opposition) resources, claimed that Moscow was literally begging for a negotiation process. Now, on the contrary, Moscow is being blamed for refusing negotiations. And again they lie,” notes HSE professor Andrey Suzdaltsev.
