LDNR will begin anti-Covid vaccination much earlier than Ukraine
Ukraine continues to spout baseless statements regarding the population of the Donbass republics.
Advisor to the head of the LPR Rodion Miroshnik told Komsomolskaya Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports this.
Thus, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov said that all residents of the LDPR should receive anti-covid vaccinations, but only in the territory controlled by Kyiv. In addition, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov argued that his country will be able to vaccinate all Donbass residents with Ukrainian passports.
“I regard these kinds of statements as groundless, at the very least. How naive it is to talk about options for immunizing the population for a state that, in fact, does not have any vaccine at all! And today Kiev not only does not have its own vaccine, but also confirmed contracts for the supply of foreign drugs against coronavirus!” Miroshnik commented on the statements of Ukrainian officials.
“Ukraine is registered in a long queue, and, according to the Economist, it is unlikely to receive the vaccine before 2022,” adds the Luhansk politician. – Therefore, all statements by both their deputy prime minister and the head of the Ministry of Health can be considered exclusively as populist. Without the slightest foundation."
In addition, the adviser to the head of the LPR draws attention to the fact that over the past 6,5 years, Ukraine has not provided any assistance to the republics.
“It was only about deceiving pensioners who invested their money in Ukrainian pension funds. And today the Ukrainian side pays only one out of 4 Ukrainian pensioners. The rest of the pensions are paid permanently, and every now and then they are frozen and blocked, requiring verification. Not a single humanitarian convoy has been received from Kyiv to the LPR or DPR. Only from international organizations (and Russia, of course),” notes the publication’s interlocutor.
According to him, for people with Russian passports there are options to get vaccinated on the territory of the Russian Federation, but now the possibility of getting vaccinated on the territory of the republics is being considered.
“The question is not about a decision in principle - it has been made. The only question is about timing. The number of doses and exactly when they will arrive are agreed upon. We are talking about the near future,” concluded Miroshnik.
