LDNR demanded direct negotiations with Kyiv
The DPR and LPR expect that the guarantors of the settlement - France, Germany and Russia - will be able to convince Ukraine to follow the previously reached agreements and follow the path of de-escalation of the conflict.
Official representatives of the Donbass republics told Izvestia about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the adviser to the head of the LPR, the representative of the republic in the political subgroup in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, Kyiv must agree to negotiate with those “with whom it is waging war.”
“All the nuances of the settlement - special status, amnesty, and so on - must be discussed with the republics. And the “Normandy format” creates conditions for the implementation of these agreements,” says Miroshnik.
In turn, Deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR Miroslav Rudenko hopes that the upcoming summit in Paris will set a strict framework for the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“It is necessary that the implementation of agreements cannot be delayed. We hope for the quick implementation of the decisions made after the summit. I would like the settlement process to be unblocked, the special status to be adopted on a permanent basis and the issue of the economic blockade to be resolved,” Rudenko emphasized.
Let us note that the summit of leaders of the Normandy format countries will be held before the end of this year.
