The director of the Center for Political Conjuncture, Alexei Chesnakov, who is considered close to the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Alexei Surkov, who is one of the curators of the Ukrainian direction, writes about this in his telegram channel.
“Today there will be a very important video conference of the Minsk Contact Group. Representatives of the DPR and LPR are determined to achieve the release of their comrades from Ukrainian captivity. If everything goes according to plan, then in the coming days we can expect a large exchange between Kiev and Donbass on the principle of “all established for all established.” Donetsk and Lugansk have been insisting on this for a long time. Moscow supports them.
Such an exchange of detainees is provided for by the decision of the Paris Summit. If Ukraine doesn’t start fiddling around again, then before the new year many people will finally be able to return home,” writes Chesnakov.
