Sevastopol, February 09 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) - Russian special services stopped the activities of an alleged spy in the Russian Black Sea Fleet - crew member of the Koida tanker Sergei Minakov.

This is reported with reference to an informed source Interfax.

“A criminal case has been opened against Minakov, he has been formally charged with espionage. He served on the Koida tanker as part of the Feodosia division of ships in the Black Sea,” the source said.

According to him, law enforcement agencies carried out investigative actions on the tanker, after which the suspect was taken to Moscow.

The press service of the Lefortovo Court in Moscow officially confirmed the fact of Minakov’s arrest.

“The court made a decision to place Sergei Minakov in custody for a period of two months, that is, until March 28, 2015,” said court press secretary Yulia Skotnikova.

There has been no information yet about which country the accused spied for.
