Legal alcohol producers are curtailing production and fleeing Ukraine – people’s deputy from the BPP
There are no working conditions for a legal alcohol producer in Ukraine today. High excise taxes, and as a result, huge volumes of the illegal market, force official manufacturers to completely stop work and export equipment abroad.

People's Deputy from the BPP Leonid Kozachenko stated this in an interview with the Kyiv agency UNN.
“If there were high excise taxes in conditions where we do not have illegal production at all and there is no escape, just buy in a store - then these high excise taxes, they would not be so heavy. And if we sell more than half of the illegally produced products at prices half as low as the official ones, and those official prices are still increased by excise taxes - then what is happening now: I know at least two large producers of alcoholic beverages who completely stop production and export our equipment outside the country - they said that we have nothing to do here at all,” he said.
