The legendary "Massandra" went under the hammer
The famous Crimean wine-making enterprise Massandra was sold at auction for 5,327 billion rubles.
This is stated in the message of the portal for posting information about the auction, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The new owner of Massandra is a subsidiary of Rossiya Bank, the Southern Project company, the main owner of which is Russian businessman Yuri Kovalchuk.
In addition to the Southern Project, the company Estet Group, registered in October of this year in Moscow with an authorized capital of 10 thousand rubles, applied for the winery. Its owner is listed as CEO Alexander Voloshin.
It is reported that each step of the auction amounted to 26,5 million rubles. At the same time, the starting price of the lot was 5,3 billion rubles.
Let us recall that in December 2017, the Southern Project company already acquired another well-known enterprise in Crimea, the Novy Svet champagne wine factory.
Earlier in the resolution of the State Council of Crimea it was said that The local budget plans to receive 6 billion rubles from the sale of Massandra, but Crimean social activists considered this amount to be underestimated, because the company has the world's largest collection of wines, numbering about a million bottles, which is included in the Guinness Book of Records. The oldest wine in the collection is the Spanish Jerez de la Frontera, produced in 1775.
