A film about a Russian scientist kidnapped in Libya will be released in April
The premiere of the film “Shugaley” was announced on the website of the youth movement “Generation Z”. Participants in the movement proposed discussing the film after its release, scheduled for April.
Interregional youth motion Generation Z is exploring ideas about human development. The film “Shugaley” is a vivid example of how heroically people can behave when faced with danger.
The film tells about the Russian sociologist Maxim Shugaley. Together with a colleague, he arrived in Tripoli to conduct sociological research. Later they found secret information about the actions of local authorities. This was the reason for their abduction. For almost a year, the Russians have been in the Mitiga prison in Tripolitan, known for terrible torture. Despite this, the heroes do not betray their ideals.

“Today, the story is not yet over: the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is fighting for Shugaley’s return home, and there is no reliable information about his condition and whereabouts,” states the Generation Z website.
