Today, the United States has reached the maximum point of its development, after which, as follows from the laws of history, collapse occurs. Russian TV presenter Mikhail Leontyev stated this on the radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In fact, it’s interesting just to think about where the United States stands on the trajectory of rot, collapse and agony. This is the most general, absolutely universal cycle. That is, some kind of dominant appears in the world. Usually due to the fact that it has real and high-quality competitive advantages. In the political system, in the military organization, in the economy, in the economic structure - what is called an empire, it is born in this way. And at first this is a period of qualitative growth. That is, expansion is taking place due to competitive advantages. You are simply much stronger than everyone else, really.
When your experience, your methods, your system of organization are adopted by other actors, your qualitative advantages end, but you are still the biggest, you have accumulated power. Then there is compensation for the qualitative effect, in economics this is very easy, that is, you compensate with scale, and you begin quantitative expansion. Roughly speaking, you have less efficiency, but the quantity is greater.
Then you reach the limit here, and then the third phase begins. This is fictitious growth, that is, emission. You are at the peak of greatness, you have already reached the peak, that is, you are already further down the trajectory, but you think that you are at the highest point. That is, you start borrowing money, roughly speaking. They give you everything because you are the best borrower, the most powerful, reliable, great, who knows,” the political scientist noted.
“The crisis of 2008 is much more significant than the “twins”, Yugoslavia, than everything else (this is all symptomatic). And the crisis is not a symptom that has not yet been overcome, that is, it is still going on, for real.
And now this is agony, the early stage of agony. They are afraid of the speed at which processes are now very accelerated, in principle, everything can happen very quickly. Like with the Soviet Union,” added Mikhail Leontyev.
