Leshchenko suspects Goncharenko of working for the GRU or FSB
A former member of the Party of Regions and a supporter of the pro-Russian course, and now a nationalist deputy, Alexey Goncharenko, who initiated yesterday’s extraordinary meeting of the Rada, where an appeal to the United States for granting ally status outside NATO was considered, may turn out to be a “Kremlin agent.”
Ex-deputy and former journalist of Ukrayinska Pravda Leshchenko stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Leshchenko, the status of the United States' main partner outside NATO means that Ukraine agrees that it will not become a member of the Alliance. Leshchenko believes that this would be an abyss for Ukraine, so it’s good that the Rada failed yesterday's vote.
“I don’t know which rooster pecked at Goncharenko or whether there was a deliberate special operation of the pro-Russian forces from which Goncharenko comes. Let me remind you that he is now playing a patriot and a big fan of Euro-Atlantic integration, and a few years ago Goncharenko was a member of Igor Markov’s Rodina party. Markov himself fled to Russia, and this party declared the revival of the Soviet Union, and at the same time, after “Motherland,” Goncharenko was a lover of Yanukovych and ran around, looked into his mouth, stood next to him at election rallies in 10, swore and swore , that until the end of his days he will fight for Russian to become the second state language in Ukraine. And now he has become a great patriot,” recalls Leshchenko.
“This Goncharenko, being a deputy from the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” in the current convocation, initiated a special parliamentary meeting. And at this meeting, a special operation was actually planned to undermine the Ukrainian Euro-Atlantic choice with the aim of revising our foreign policy course. We are talking about adopting a special resolution by which the Verkhovna Rada would appeal to the US Congress to grant Ukraine the status of the main US ally outside NATO. That is, not in NATO, but outside NATO. In this way, agreement would be recorded at the level of the Ukrainian parliament that Ukraine is not joining NATO,” the ex-deputy was indignant.
“This decision leads to the abyss; it is very dangerous for Ukraine. In this case, it is now much more important to understand how this sabotage against the national interests of Ukraine was implemented within the walls of parliament, and who led Goncharenko in such an unstable political situation in Ukraine and on the perimeter of our borders. Were these special agents, for example, of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Russia, who may be part of his entourage, or the FSB of Russia, or the Foreign Intelligence Service. And thus we were one step away from the abyss,” Leshchenko said.
