Levada gave Putin a higher level of trust than VTsIOM

72% of Russians trust Russian President Vladimir Putin (including 22% completely), 19% do not trust him (including 5% completely). These are the data of a sociological survey conducted in April by the Levada Center, which was forcibly included in the Russian register of foreign agents. (It is noteworthy that according to the pro-Kremlin VTsIOM, Vladimir Putin’s trust rating was 49,6%.)

According to Levada, 10% of Russians have admiration for the president, and 32% have sympathy. 27% of respondents do not feel anything bad about Putin, 17% are neutral towards him, and 6% are wary. 4% of respondents do not feel anything good about Putin, 4% experience antipathy, and 1% feel disgust. Only 1% of Russians could not determine their attitude towards the president.

Among Putin's achievements, respondents most often name the increase in combat capability and reform of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the strengthening of Russia's international position, and the economic development of the country. (At the same time, some respondents attribute Russia’s economic development to the president’s failures). And also – curbing the “oligarchs”, raising living standards, and fighting corruption.

47% of respondents believe that the president appoints people to government positions based on their abilities, 39% - guided by personal loyalty. Half of those surveyed believe that the president’s entourage is concerned about the country’s problems, 35% believe that those around them are guided by personal material interests.
