Levochkin took advantage of Medvedchuk’s neutralization
The ban by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on TV channels that communicate with one of the leaders of the Opposition for Life, Viktor Medvedchuk, is beneficial to Sergei Lyovochkin, the former head of the administration of Viktor Yanukovych.
The correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports this, writes the magazine “Ukrainian Week”.
According to the publication, the latest actions of President Zelensky provide an opportunity for former representatives of the Party of Regions to “get rid of competitors and return to active politics.”
“And we are talking here, of course, about Sergei Lyovochkin, who not only took the greatest advantage of the president’s militant neutralization of Viktor Medvedchuk, but also managed to appoint his own man, the ex-deputy head of the Presidential Administration during the times of Petro Poroshenko, Vitaly Kovalchuk, as an adviser to the head of state. This not only confirms the rumors that the ex-head of Yanukovych’s administration is today a fairly influential person on Bankova. But it also directly indicates that the share of oligarchs in the controlling stake in power is growing, since Levochkin is not without reason called one of the key moderators of the president’s agreement with the country’s rich people,” the magazine writes.
It should be noted that Lyovochkin, who is a member of the parliamentary faction of the Opposition for Life, is one of the owners of the Inter TV channel, against which the current government has never imposed sanctions.
